THE MINISTRY OF THE GREETERS

Along with all other lay ministries in the Church today, the role of the greeter at the Eucharistic celebration is very important. Greeters are "people persons". Greeters are the first people parishioners encounter when attending a Eucharistic celebration at Holy Trinity. Greeters open doors, help the elderly, collect the stewardship offerings and provide the presentation of the gifts to the altar. They help in seating arrangements on special occasions, guide parishioners during the Eucharistic celebration and direct parents with young children to the appropriate areas. Greeters serve the community and worship assembly with joy, dependability, kindness and reverence. They prepare the assembled for participation in the sacred liturgy.
