MISSION
The mission of CAM is to share the love of Christ by providing immediate assistance and encouragement to people in crisis.
DESCRIPTION
CAM was founded in 1977 by nine downtown churches. Today it is supported by over 80 church communities, including Holy Trinity. As an ecumenical mission, every person who comes to CAM, regardless of beliefs, is recognized as a child of God.Some services provided are:
Groceries every 30 days for clients with residence
Clothing every 30 days (including diapers, wipes, and hygiene items)
Transportation in the form of Bus Tickets (please see https://christianassistanceministry.org/
for guidelines)
Limited financial assistance for utilities in disconnect status, voucher for I.D./Birth Certificate once every 12 months
Financial assistance for prescription medications up to $80.00/year
Yearly seasonal help for qualified clients to include school supplies, and emergency Christmas help
Homeless services to include showers, porta-potties, daily sack lunches, clothing, and social services
TO RECEIVE SERVICES:
All are welcome and no appointment is needed.
Clothing and hygiene items may be received with just a photo ID.
TX ID and birth certificate recovery is also provided.
Monthly food assistance requires a photo ID, SS card & proof of residence.
For financial assistance, documentation such as a CPS or SAWS disconnect notice or prescriptions is required.

Morning or afternoon volunteers needed to assist with:
Food Pantry
Women’s clothing pantry
Men’s clothing pantry
Reception & client interviews to determine emergency needs
Preparing sack lunches (distributed 6 days a week at McCullough location)
Sorting clothing donations in an air-conditioned warehouse
Special events such as the Back to School and Family Christmas shopping programs
Summer Internship programs ages 15+
Weekend volunteers (families and all ages)
Prepare and distribute sack lunches on campus
Stock clothing & food pantries for coming week
Sort donated items in the air-conditioned warehouse
Ministries (and all parishioners) may collect travel-size hygiene items, donate supplies for Back-to-School Backpacks, provide new toys for our homeless families Christmas Shopping event and more! (Please contact Beth Roberts, HT CAM representative for updates on current items needed)
