Holy Orders

Jesus Christ, our Eternal High Priest, offered Himself in love to the Father for the salvation of all. Jesus entrusted His saving mission and ministry to the Church through His apostles. Through the Sacrament of Holy Orders, this apostolic ministry is conferred on some Christians who are ordained to serve the Body of Christ. Ordained ministry in the Church exists in three degrees: bishops, presbyters (priests), and deacons.
