An ongoing effort to provide financial and other assistance to four parishes within the Archdiocese of San Antonio: St. Timothy, St. Philip of Jesus, Christ the King, and St. Clare, all located in the southwest quadrant of San Antonio.
Each of these parishes have a smaller, older, and less financially self-sufficient congregation than what we experience at Holy Trinity. They work hard and do their best to provide for their needs but struggle financially as a parish and as individuals. In the spirit of love for neighbors, we ask that you consider providing these parishes a helping hand through one or more of the options described below. Our parish is blessed; this outreach seeks to share those blessings.
Ways To Help
Donations of food, hygiene items, clothing, and household items
Click the Suggested Donations button to the right or find a copy of that list in the lobby at church. When you’re out shopping, pick up some of the requested items. If you need to make room in your closets or on your kitchen countertops, bag/box your gently used clothing and/or small appliances. Bring your items to church and place them in the bin just outside the parish offices. “Feed my sheep!
Monetary Donations
Use any or each of the links to the right to make a direct financial donation. Cash donations help the sister parishes purchase items they have difficulty affording or obtaining. That may be foods they can’t get through the Food Bank, faith formation materials, or other pastoral priorities. This avenue can affect both physical and spiritual needs. It’s a quick, easy way to help.
Keep an eye on our parish bulletin for special campaigns or special requests for help
From time to time, we may publicize a focused request for assistance. It may be box fans for the summer, particular clothing needs, a request for manpower or know-how for a sister parish project that will help save on costs, or some other resource (physical or talents) we may have available to donate or loan. We have a lot of skills and resources among our parishioners; we hope you’ll be open to sharing those when the need arises.
